A Little About Our Quail
At Ashby Quail, we are proud to care for a diverse range of quail species, each with its own unique charm and characteristics.

Coturnix Quail
Our main flock at Ashby Quail includes over 100 Coturnix Quail hens and cocks. These calm and docile birds are prolific egg layers, providing fresh, high-quality eggs for our customers. As a cornerstone of our farm, we are developing a breeding programme to strengthen their genetics and maintain a thriving flock for the best egg production.

Mountain Quail
Ashby Quail is home to a stunning pair of Mountain Quail, known for their bold plumage and regal appearance. As the largest quail species in North America, they are a unique addition to our exotic quail breeding programme. We carefully breed, hatch, and rear these remarkable birds in a natural and comfortable environment.

Californian Quail
At Ashby Quail, our trio of Californian Quail—a striking male and two females—are part of our exotic quail breeding programme. Known for their distinctive forward-curving plume and intricate feather patterns, these beautiful birds bring charm and character to our collection. We are dedicated to hatching and rearing their chicks, ensuring the continued preservation of this captivating species.

Mearns Quail
Mearns Quail, also called Montezuma Quail, are among the most striking birds at Ashby Quail. With their intricate plumage and shy nature, these stunning birds are a prized part of our exotic quail breeding programme. We hatch and rear Mearns Quail to ensure the beauty and rarity of this species is celebrated and preserved.
